DANCEHALL are a trio of believers in distortion, energy and melody who meld their droning shoegaze with serrated punk. Their new single 'Virgin' is a reassuring slice of alt-rock, which sees the band challenging social expectations. Singer and bassist Timothy V explains 'Virgin' is "a nod to the pressures of modern youth and the loss of it through advertising, media, sex, social media, etc. A faint farewell to the clichéd values that they have been built upon and a re-positioning of rock 'n' roll's tired message". 'Virgin' will be released as a 7 inch with upcoming b-side 'Digging' on Vibe/Anti-Vibe and Strong Island Recordings on the 26th of May. -HLMX
